The YMCA International Charity Run Series Supported by Citigroup Services Japan: Official National Sponsors of the YMCA Charity Runs

The YMCA International Charity Run Series, with 12 races taking place across the country continues to grow yearly, with greater support from participants and sponsors (especially Citigroup Services Japan - the Official National Sponsor of the YMCA Charity Runs.)

After each relay style run - with various categories and distances - a raffle is held with many great prizes. Top teams also get medals and prizes, and all runners get certificates, snacks and sports drinks. There are even special prizes for best running costumes and team-with-the-oldest-combined-age!

In 2003, the YMCA International Charity Runs raised more than JPY33,000,000 for Challenged Children Projects (CCP) at YMCA camps around Japan. These activities provide rare opportunities to experience the outdoors―hiking, canoeing, nature crafts, campfires―while developing self-confidence, cooperation skills, and new friendships.

Operating camps that bring the joy of outdoors and strategies for success to thousands of deserving youths requires a enormous commitment from YMCA volnteers and staff.
