CRAFT Golf Group makes donation to YMCA
(Tokyo Weekender)

The CRAFT Golf Club, a group of foreigners in Japan who regularly get together to share their passion for golf, has made a monetary donation to the YMCA Foreign Community Supporting Committee (FCSC) challenged childrenfs projects which support the development of challenged children through outdoor camping, training programs and research and other activities.

CRAFT Golf Club members Nick Masee (left, Managing Director, Asian Tigers Premier Worldwide Movers) and Brian Nelson (right, President and CEO of Value Commerce) present a check for \300,000 to Greg Hurnall, Director of the YMCA Foreign Community Supporting Committee.

The projects began in 1987 and hold friendship camps for challenged and non-challenged children and for Japanese and international youth. The CRAFT Golf Club includes members from Canada, Britain, South Africa and the United States and has so far donated \300,000 to the YMCA/FCSC Challenged Childrenfs Projects Fund, raised through contributions of its own members.

gWe love golf, and that was the basis for building camaraderie in the beginning,h said Nick Masee, Managing Director of Asian Tigers Premier World Wide Movers and one of the founding members of the group.

gNow wefve found a way to deepen those ties and help the community here in Japan by donating as a group money for charity, specifically the YMCA/FCSC Challenged Childrenfs Projects.h
